(More customer reviews)My daughter got this as a gift 3 years ago. The plastic and the Velcro has survived baby chewing and hours of pretend play. The pieces are all over the house because she still likes to make ice cream and hand them out to toys and family members. This is high-quality plastic and in our experience the Velcro never comes off. All the pieces (the ones I can still find) are in the same condition they were when new.
