(More customer reviews)We gave this to my daughter for her second birthday. She loved it right away. Actually, she saw the microwave before I wrapped it and could not stop talking about it. When she opened her gifts, she just kept tossing them aside until she opened this one. She plays with it throughout the day. We were going to get her an entire kitchen set but I think she will be all set for quite some time with just the microwave.
She figured out how to work the buttons within minutes. You need to press one of the buttons, then the start button. It only works with the door closed. When you press Start, the light turns on, the food rotates and there is a whirring sound. When the time is up, it dings several times. It comes with food, plates and utensils. What more could you ask for?
If you don't have room for a kitchen set, like me, just get this one item and you will be all set.
I actually bought this at a well known toy store for less than half the price. Sorry Amazon.

The "Just Like Home" microwave oven has lights and sounds like a real microwave. Close the door, select the "food" you would like to "cook", press the start button and the inside light will come on and the turntable will spin. An electric timer counts down the time and beeps when the food is done. Just Like Home!
