It took my partner about one hour to put it together with a power drill (which is very quick for this type of product!). The size is perfect for a small home without sacraficing any fun details that the larger kitchens come with. The knobs turn and make clicking noises that my daughter loves and she also loves the phone that comes off of the hook, this kitchen is adorable! The one complaint I had was that the doors for the oven, fridge, and microwave were impossible for my 2 year old (and almost myself!!) to open due the magnet strength. This problem was easily fixed by placing a couple of layers of electrical tape over the magnets to dull the strength. They open easily now and you can't even notice that we altered the product. The quality of the kitchen is excellent and I can imagine getting many years of play from it (though we have only had it 1 week). I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a quality, non plastic kitchen that isn't too bulky and in gender neutral colors.
