This child's toy features Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast and it provides young princesses with a means to enjoy a full- fledged tea party as they wheel the tea cart from one room to the next.
My girls love the Disney Princesses so they took a natural liking to this toy. They enjoy pushing the cart from room to room and they like using their imaginations as they make up stories and share cups of tea with imaginary friends. The tea cart is based on Princess Belle and Beauty and the Beast, but unless you look really closely at the small depictions of Princess Belle, the cart looks just like any other Disney product. This makes it a good choice for young Disney fans everywhere.
From a parent's perspective, this tea cart is certainly cute and very easy to assemble, but I do have some small issues with the design. The main problem I have is with the tray. It rests on the top of the cart and is held very loosely in place. I realize it needs to be a little bit loose so that kids can remove the tray for their tea parties, but it needs to be more secure than this. Another problem is lack of storage. The accessories that come with this tea cart are small and there is no place to put them except on the serving tray. A lower tray or some other storage facility would have been a big improvement.
Besides the cuteness factor, there is one other quality with this tea cart that greatly adds to its appeal- it doesn't make any noise! So many toys nowadays include sound effects, clicking sounds, etc., but the Disney Princess Belle Beauty and the Beast Tea Cart has nothing like this. There are no batteries and thus no sound effects. This tea cart is fueled by human efforts only, both in the physical sense and in the imagination sense.
Disney princesses are a huge money generation tool for the company, in both movies and in merchandise and this tea cart is certainly a fun piece of merchandise to add to your child's gift list. It has a few small flaws, but they are minor compared to the positive points and they take little away from the toy's overall value.
