(More customer reviews)I have a 4 year old who LOVES to work in the kitchen with me. However, I was constantly concerned about her getting burned while trying to cook. I searched amazon for kid sized mitts and found these. I ordered one pair to try and see how heat-resistant they were. I was impressed. They performed as well as my own hot mitts. I'm frequently disappointed that kitchen products made for children are even less safe than thos for adults. I think sometimes it is assumed that we, as parents, wouldn't check the quality of such products. These mitts did not disappoint. Not only are they safe, very heat resistant and available in a number of colors, they just plain excited my 4 year old and several of her friends. She hated wearing hot mitts before because they were cumbersome and frequently fell off of her hands, even into the food. Now, I get no arguements whatsoever about putting them on when it's time to cook. In fact, several friends have asked me where to get these because they wanted them for their own children. I highly, highly recommend getting these!

These cut mitts are great in the playroom, but are thick enough to be used in the real kitchen with adult supervision.
