Plan Toy Microwave Review

This is a good, solid wood toy. The door opens and closes with a nice "THUNK!", the dials provide satisfying tactile feedback and make mechanical clicky noises, and the little wind-up carousel inside starts spinning when the door closes. Perfect for pretend play for little ones.
It's striking when you compare this to the standard big-box store offerings for kids, which are made of flimsy plastic and invariably make 8 dozen beepy electronic sounds, each horrible in its own way. Frankly, this toy is more aesthetically pleasing and feels more rugged than my ACTUAL microwave oven, let alone most of the kid versions.
However, this is NOT for very small children, and the box clearly and correctly labels the toy as suitable for ages 3+. A younger toddler bent on destruction (and really, aren't they all?) could likely break and or disassemble the oven (the carousel, in particular, is a weak point) and the little bits and parts that would fly out would decidedly be choking hazards.
