(More customer reviews)I use this stoplight in my classroom. I liked using it to manage talking and noise in the room. The light is very senstitive to desks closing or other background noise if it is set on a low setting. But it is not overly senstitive to an adult voice when it is raised. I would recommend using it.

Control the noise level in any classroom with this self-monitoring, traffic light sound meter. The green light stays lit until noise in the classroom goes above the level set by the teacher. When the sound level goes above the set level a flashing light comes on and when the sound level reaches 15 decibels above the set level, the red light and optional siren come on as a warning. Deluxe Yacker Tracker also includes a remote control with a 30-foot range (requires 2 AAA batteries, included). Both units include AC adapter and 6 replacement bulbs. Units measure 5.5"W x 3.25"D x 17"H.
