(More customer reviews)I purchased this bed for my eight year old daughter. The box was huge, securely wrapped and very hard to get into the front door, but was well worth the effort. It took about thirty minutes for us to open the packaging, and you will definitely need scissors or a box cutter for this. Luckily, all of the parts were there, including the wrench to assemble it. You should not need anything else. The directions are mostly in a diagram format, and are easy to understand. I would recommend two adults assemble this, because some of the parts are heavy. The hardest part for me was putting the top canopy and crown on. I did most of the work myself and with a little help from my daughter, it took about two hours. I put inexpensive, hot pink sheer curtains on the bars before I finished attaching them to the headboard and footboard, and the contrast against the silver frame was striking. It is magical and romantic, and my daughter fell in love with it. Any little girl would be proud to have this in her room.
